GOVERNOR PAWLENTY NAMES MINNESOTA'S FIRST OFFICIAL POET LAUREATE
Minnesota native Robert Bly will promote poetry in the state

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Feb. 27, 2008 -- Governor Tim Pawlenty today named Robert Bly the first official poet laureate of the State of Minnesota. Bly will be the primary spokesperson, supporter, and promoter of poetry in the state. Read the official announcement.
