"We must not only give what we have; we must also give what we are." --Desire Joseph Cardinal Mercier

The Minnesota Humanities Center provides Minnesotans of all ages the opportunity to learn and grow in humanities areas -- areas that enable people to strengthen and advance themselves, the communities in which they live, and the schools, colleges, and cultural organizations to which they belong. Democracy, government, and civil life depend upon knowledge of history, literature, philosophy, and more. With this knowledge, people can make a difference in their communities through volunteer opportunities and can further the work of the Humanities Center through financial contributions.
