Site Support Services for Core Knowledge Schools
Core Knowledge is a detailed outline of content for preschool to eighth grade instruction. The program's grade-by-grade content guide is designed to build student knowledge and skills from one year to the next while preventing repetitions and gaps in school curricula.

Core Knowledge provides an outline of content instead of a specific curriculum, allowing schools the flexibility necessary to meet local needs. The outline includes subject areas such as the principles of constitutional government, important events of world history, essential elements of oral and written expression, and widely acknowledged masterpieces of art and music.

Since 1998, the Minnesota Humanities Center has provided general information, implementation trainings, start-up support, and technical support to schools that use Core Knowledge as the foundation to their humanities curriculum.
